Livestock manure impact on groundwater study
November 14, 2012 by Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development
November 14, 2012 – The Alberta Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is conducting a study to examine the impact of livestock manure of groundwater quality.
Information from the study will provide science-based information on the potential risks of livestock manure management activities on groundwater quality in Alberta.
It will also provide a better understanding of the processes affecting the fate and transport of manure constituents in the groundwater, under Alberta conditions; and, recommend solutions to mitigate potential risks.
