UI researches ammonia, odor reductions

March 18, 2014, Twin Falls, ID – With 70 percent of Idaho’s 580,000 dairy cows located in the Magic Valley, managing manure and ammonia emissions are serious concerns for dairies, regulators and the public in southern Idaho.
In an effort to rein in ammonia emissions and odor from land applying liquid manure held in dairy lagoons, University of Idaho researchers are studying the effects of land application methods. READ MORE
