NM dairy industry says new rules would ruin them

New Mexico's dairies – is proposing new regulations on the industry to protect
groundwater.

Department – which says groundwater pollution exists at more than 65 percent of
New Mexico's dairies – is proposing new regulations on the industry to protect
groundwater.

The dairy industry contends the proposed requirements are so
costly they could force up to half the state’s dairies to move or go out of
business.
