Livestock producers could potentially

April 13, 2010 – Livestock producers could potentially
extract a mineral from manure and market it as a granular form of phosphorous
fertilizer.

University of Manitoba soil scientist Don Flaten explains researchers
at the university are working on extracting phosphorous in the form of a
slow-release fertilizer called struvite.
