Puck Custom Enterprises (PCE) has introduced a new design that is said to keep hoses safer and increase the efficiencies of drag hose systems.

With the system, hose can be easily and loosely powered off from the seat of a tractor. The hose can be powered back on from inside the tractor with the articulating axle and arch guard design. It is driven by hydraulic double 80 chain.

The arch guard protection means that no level, wind pinch points or sharp edges damage the hose. The arch guard safety keeps hose on the reel when rolling. The reel holds one mile of 6” hose and the company says it takes only one person to pick up or lay down drag hose.

Conveniences of the equipment include: tongue locks for easy towing; hydraulic hose rack for easy storage; the deck protects the hose from pinch points and rubbing; and there is a secondary hydraulic hand control on the front of the cart.

Tapered domes allow for easy hose overlap as the cart is filled. A swinging tongue means the cart can be swung hydraulically as the hose is rolled. The equipment features leaf spring suspension, a 22,000 lb axle and is said to have good balance.
