Veenhuis, a leader in efficient and sustainable slurry application methods, has introduced a new slurry reel system.

The Veenhuis Slurry Reel System was developed in close collaboration with the Danish Agrometer Company and S Tjalma BV Mechanization.

A great advantage of this trailing hose slurry injector is its ability to smoothly apply slurry on soil with a lower load-bearing capacity, says the company, since the slurry is supplied through a hose, rather than dragged along in a tank across the field. This method has considerably less impact on the sward.

The Veenhuis Slurry Reel System combines this major advantage with maximum capacity and minimum pulling power, because the hose is not pulled across the land, but alternatively reeled and unreeled. The method requires considerably less pulling power, while the large reel capacity allows a working length of 700 meters. Since the supply hose is not moving on the land and thanks to the sideward lowering system, the Veenhuis Slurry Reel System is suitable for use in row cultures.

The system offers impressive capacity thanks to its shallow injector up to 16.50 meters, and long range: up to 700 meters with 4” reel hose or 500 meters with 5” hose.

It is said to be a time-saver, since slurry application can be done on large parcels of land without uncoupling. The hose is coiled up while full—no time is lost reeling the hose in and out.
