Farmers working smarter

November 26, 2015, Marathon, IA – In early November, about 90 people gathered at Mike Ehlers’ farm near Marathon, IA, to watch manure injectors rumble across a field, and to learn about ways of reducing runoff of manure used to fertilize fields.
The event included demonstrations of different types of equipment used to inject liquid manure into the ground. Three different dealers demonstrated new equipment for the demonstration, and five local licensed applicators operated the equipment.
