Company wants to process dairy waste in OR

November 26, 2015, Pendleton, OR – A Walla Walla company wants to recycle dairy waste and turn it into soil amendments for gardening and orchards.
Organix Inc. wants to build a processing facility in Boardman that would take cow manure and turn it into a soil enhancer for gardens, orchards, vineyards and landscapers. The company plans to use 40,000 cubic yards per year of dairy waste from Threemile Canyon Farms to make its product — named RePeet — which is being marketed as a high-end alternative to peat moss.
