Anaerobic digester tour in Virginia

March 9, 2012, Danville, VA – Farmers, energy/utility representatives and community stakeholders are invited to a discussion and walking tour of Dairy Energy Inc. on April 3, 2012.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Vanderhyde Dairy on 780 Dairy View Road in Chatham, Va. The tour will focus on the business’ anaerobic digester project, which was started in 2009.

The event, titled Transforming Manure to Energy, will include a highlighting of the digester’s energy system components by Jactone Ogejo, associate professor of biological systems engineering at Virginia Tech. READ MORE
