Grass quality key to profitable milk production

On dairy farms, improving sward productivity is important, with good quality grass remaining the key to profitable milk production.

Christopher Breen, a dairying adviser with the College of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs (CAFRE), said: “It makes sense to maintain top quality grass swards through regular reseeding. Many farmers have already taken the opportunity to reseed this summer or consider other less expensive forms of rejuvenation to improve productivity.” | READ MORE
