Virginia considering stricter litter regulations

September 8, 2009 – Strict
regulations are being considered by the Virginia Water Control Board that would
apply to all farmers who spread poultry litter on their land.

Economic impact is one of
the biggest concerns is raised by growers, brokers and the poultry industry in
response to the proposed changes.
