There’s no shortage of things to do at the 2022 North American Manure Expo.
On July 13-14, you’ll be able to see the latest in manure equipment and technology, network with industry peers, take in education sessions and demos and partake in innovative tours.
Held this year in Chambersburg, PA, the Expo welcomes farmers, manure applicators and other nutrient management professionals from across the continent.
Some of the highlights include:
Tours: Attendees can choose between two tours to enhance their learning on the first day of the Expo. The robotic dairy and poultry manure management tour will stop at a dairy that has recently installed robotic milking, feeding and manure collection technologies. The second stop will be at a never-before populated egg layer farm currently under construction that uses innovative manure handling practices, including belt drying and centralized manure collection. The stream tour will explore the impacts of excess nutrients on a local stream and teach attendees about the benefits of buffers and other practices. Act 49 certified hauler/brokers and Act 38 nutrient-management plan writers can receive 3.0 CEUs from attending either tour.
Education sessions: Attendees can attend up to four sessions on the second day of the expo. Sessions include topics such as: weed seeds in manure; injecting manure into cover crops; manure and soil health; precision agriculture and variable rate manure application; injection and drag hose corn side-dressing and more.
Trade show: Exhibitors will be available throughout the Expo to show off their products and technology. Exhibitors include manufacturers of tires, hoses, engines and more, application services, composting technologies and more. For a full list of exhibitors, click here.
Demonstrations: Solid, liquid, agitation and spill response demonstrations will take place throughout the expo. Participants will have the opportunities to watch different brands do what they do best – pump, agitate, apply and more.
