Michigan dairy to install water-recycling system

May 28, 2014 – Middleton, MI – A 3,200-cow dairy operation located near Middleton will be one of the first dairy operations in Michigan to install a Livestock Water Recycling manure treatment system to recycle clean water and concentrate valuable nutrients from the manure for reuse at the farm.

The third-generation family farm is already known for its use of sand-separation technology to recycle the sand for livestock bedding, which has improved cow comfort and leading to improved nutrient management on the farm’s cropland for raising feed. READ MORE
