October 17, 2013 – Dwight Dotterer has heard his share of complaints during his 12 years with the Maryland Department of Agriculture. His first job as an agriculture assessment planner put him in charge of responding to grumbles related to agricultural operations.

Some of those complaints have come from people who find manure odor offensive and don’t understand that spreading manure on fields is modus operandi in agriculture, Dotterer said. READ MORE
