North Star Manufacturing produces the Manure Monster, a separation and dewatering system for the dairy industry.
The Manure Monster is said to be an affordable, easy to operate system for any size of dairy operation. It operates well following other dewatering equipment, such as slope screens, when there is a need for drier solids. The company is also testing a prototype large volume vibratory separation unit. This new unit will separate the large volumes of water used in flush systems, with the solids going into the Manure Monster for final dewatering.
The Manure Monster dewatering system is simple in its design. The direct drive auger means no belts, chains or sprockets to maintain. All stainless steel construction means long service under a variety of conditions. Low horsepower means less energy used and lower
operating costs. The Manure Monster has a 300 gallon hopper for loading and an optional pump lid. The amount of throughput varies with the type of bedding and feed concentration, but can range from 25 to 100 gpm.
