Manure management workshops, field day in PA

March 14, 2016, Mercer, PA – The Mercer County Conservation District will be participating in the Northwest Region Manure Management Field day, an informational event co-sponsored by Erie, Crawford and Venango County Conservation Districts.

The field day will highlight manure management regulations, biosecurity, farm vehicle transportation regulations agricultural erosion and sediment control regulations. Also covered in the event will be PAOneStop farm mapping and a demonstration on how to calibrate a liquid and a solid manure spreader.

The field day will be at Apple Shamrock Dairy Farm in Townville, Crawford County. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the program will end at 3 p.m. READ MORE
