Iowa legislators pass manure restrictions
The Iowa House has agreed to place new
restrictions on farmers applying liquid manure to frozen ground.

April 27, 2009, Des Moines, IA – The Iowa House has agreed to place new restrictions on farmers applying liquid manure to frozen ground.

According to report in the Des Moines Register, the new law prohibits large producers from applying liquid manure on frozen ground between Feb. 1 and April 1 and on snow covered ground.
