Manure brings energy project to CA county

October 29, 2013, Dos Palos, CA – A 10,000-square-foot manure digester here could be a sign of a breakthrough in Merced County and California, according to Rep. Jim Costa.

The renewable energy project – between the Antonio Brasil Dairy and Elite Energy – was unveiled recently on a 640-acre ranch just south of Highway 152 in Dos Palos. The thermophilic anaerobic digester system is the first of its kind in the county. READ MORE
