March 7, 2011 – Under pressure from the Obama administration to get serious about cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay, Virginia is poised to try a new approach to an old problem: farm pollution.
A bill approved by the House and Senate and favored by Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell will introduce a new tool, called resource management plans, in the fight to restore the Bay without over-regulating agriculture, one of the state’s richest industries.
