Specialist sees challenges with CB TMDL

April 8, 2011, Queenstown, MD — The nation’s largest Total Maximum
Daily Load (TMBL) plan requires farmers and others to cut down on
pollution heading into the Chesapeake Bay watershed, but a University
of Maryland Extension specialist doesn’t think it’s likely to result in
a cleaner bay any time soon.

April 8, 2011, Queenstown, MD — The nation’s largest Total Maximum Daily Load (TMBL) plan requires farmers and others to cut down on pollution heading into the Chesapeake Bay watershed, but a University of Maryland Extension specialist doesn’t think it’s likely to result in a cleaner bay any time soon.

Josh McGrath, a UMD soil fertility and nutrient management specialist, spoke to 19 Minnesotans who visited Maryland recently to learn how the plan is impacting farmers.
