greenhouse gases ought to be regulated under the Clean Air Act.
August 5, 2010 – The Sierra Club is challenging the U.S. EPA’s “tailoring” rule for greenhouse gases in a federal appeals court, asking judges to review the agency’s determination about when greenhouse gases ought to be regulated under the Clean Air Act.
The group, along with a host of states and industry groups, wants the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to review the EPA rule, which would limit greenhouse gas permitting rules to only the largest emitters.
