Surface to Surface, Inc recently demonstrated its prototype SAC-4M/C real-time waste treatment equipment at Ridgetown College’s Manure Technology Open House in Ridgetown, Ontario.
The SAC-4M/C took input (liquid swine manure) directly from Ridgetown College’s swine test barn’s underground storage system and separated the liquid manure into a stackable solid (organic fertilizer with nutrients encapsulated)anda clear fluid (reuse water).
The equipment demonstrated that a new novel combination of technologies used in drilling and waste water treatment applications can reduce hydraulic resonance time from days to minutes, thereby enabling “real-time” waste treatment by mobile equipment systems, the company says.
The equipment has application in the real-time treatment of combined fluid/solid waste streams typical in animal raising operations. It will be available in standalone “in-barn” and mobile trailer configurations to enable a “plug and play” solution that fits current manure handling systems/processes for the large operation and manure handling service providers for contract servicing of multiple small and medium operations.
