Million-dollar funding helps Alberta centre

Edmonton, Albt — The provincial and federal governments will pump $8.4 million
into a new bio-waste energy centre near Vegreville, Albt, hosting eight firms
that will work together to get new technologies into the global marketplace
more quickly.

The BioWaste to Energy for
Canada Integration Initiative Corp., called BECii, is an industry-driven,
not-for-profit organization that will establish the BECii Clean Energy Centre
at the existing Grow-Gen biogas plant in Hairy Hill.
