MI manure spill stopped from getting into creek

January 30, 2013, Ravenna, MI – An estimated 2,000 gallons of manure spilled from a pit at a Ravenna, MI, dairy farm during the overnight period between Jan. 28 and Jan. 29.
A Michigan Department of Environmental Quality analyst inspected the spill Jan. 29 and reported farm workers were “doing everything they’re supposed to do” and that no manure was released into nearby a creek. The manure also was stopped from being released into drainage ditches. READ MORE
