Don’t relax manure rules in NY – coalition

January 29, 2013 – A coalition of New York environmental groups has blasted the Cuomo administration proposal to exempt some large dairy-farming operations from rules meant to protect waterways from agricultural pollutants.
In a recently released statement, the coalition of five advocacy groups said the proposed rule changes would harm water quality and endanger public health. “By attempting to roll-back clean water standards in New York, Governor Cuomo is giving this industry special treatment, a precedent that other polluting industries will seek to take advantage of. ” READ MORE
