Manure suppliers run short as fertilizer prices soar

A global shortage of commercial fertilizers has been made worse by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, where much of the world’s fertilizer is produced. Increasingly, livestock producers in the U.S. say they are now grappling with high demand for manure while in previous years they always had a surplus. Equipment firms who make spreaders say they’re also benefitting.
