April 17, 2013 – Rural Lane County may become home to a second large cow-manure digester that turns methane gas into electricity.
A Washington, D.C., business – RES Ag Konyn LLC – is proposing to build the system, which will use manure produced by the Konyn family’s 1,750 cows, which graze on the family’s farmland about a mile north of Coburg. The system would occupy about 3 acres on the Konyn family’s nearly 360-acre farm at 91760 N. Coburg Road, said David Konyn, manager and co-owner of the farm. READ MORE
