LA invites comment on nutrient management

December 23, 2013, Baton Rouge, LA – State officials are inviting comment on a plan to address nutrient management through the local watershed.

It’s part of an effort to address nutrient levels through the Mississippi-Atchafalaya River Basin that contribute to the annual Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico.

The review draft of the state’s strategy is available at: http://lanutrientmanagement.org/. Comments may be submitted by Jan. 31 either online or through mail to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority at P.O. Box 44027 Baton Rouge, La.
