IA changes training needs for manure handlers

March 6, 2014, Des Moines, IA – The training requirements for commercial manure applicators would be cut from three hours to two under legislation that won passage in the Iowa House recently.

The measure passed on a 66 to 31 vote with little debate, but has been excoriated by the liberal advocacy group Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement as a threat to Iowa’s environment.  READ MORE
