February 23, 2009 – The California Dairy Quality Assurance Program (CDQAP) is once again offering workshops on the upcoming round of deadlines and deliverables for General Order R5-2007-0035 – Waste Discharge Requirements for Existing Milk Cow Dairies.

The next set of reports is due July 1, 2009. CDQAP plans two workshops targeted specifically at dairy industry professionals working in the subject matter; these workshops are timed prior to the delivery of the workshops for dairy producers (offered mid-March) for your convenience. The workshops will be short (two hours vs. three hours for previous classes) and focus solely on the General Order requirements.

The workshops are being held February 26, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Tulare County CE Auditorium, 4437 S. Laspina Street, in Tulare, and March 3, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Stanislaus County Ag Center, 3800 Cornucopia Way, in Modesto.

As in the past, CDQAP will provide summary documents, sample report forms and updates on significant issues for your use with clientele. CDQAP staff will also solicit your input on improvements that can be made to the curriculum prior to the producer workshops.
