— Plans to build a $10 million facility that would convert cow manure into
biogas at a Pixley-based ethanol plant were temporarily tabled recently
following a public hearing before the Tulare County Planning Commission.
The commission’s decision
to delay the project came after several Pixley residents voiced concern over
the lack of notification of the proposed plant, a project they fear would have
severe impacts on the Pixley population made up of nearly 3,000 residents.
