The Bunning family, manufacturers of the GT Bunning rear discharge manure spreader, recently celebrated 100 years at their Norfolk, England, company site.

According to report in the Farmers’ Guardian, the business was originally started in 1906 by Robert Bunning as a blacksmith shop. Robert was eventually joined by his son, George Thomas Bunning, in 1925. In 1983, the Bunning’s started manufacturing manure spreaders, which they exported to Canada starting in 2002. The cost of shipping proved too high for export, so the spreaders are now manufactured in Canada under a licensing agreement.
