Louisville was shut down by the city’s Metropolitan Sewer District
after it allegedly flushed under-treated pig waste into the sewer
system.

April 15, 2009, Louisville, Ky. – A truck wash in a suburb of Louisville was shut down by the city’s Metropolitan Sewer District after it allegedly flushed under-treated pig waste into the sewer system.

According to a report in the Courier-Journal, the truck wash is used to clean trucks after pigs are delivered to a nearby processing plant.
