NA Manure Expo wins PA environmental award

March 22, 2016, Chambersburg, PA – The 2015 North American Manure Expo at Chambersburg is one of 14 projects to receive the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.

Expo sponsors, the Penn State Department of Animal Science and the Franklin County Conservation District, will share the award. The expo was held in July just off Interstate 81 Exit 15 in Guilford Township. About 1,400 people attended from 23 states and five Canadian provinces. Livestock producers and manure handlers met with national experts on manure nutrient issues. READ MORE
