April 23, 2009, Hudson, MI – A Michigan dairy has been given until May 18 to pay half of its outstanding fines for alleged environmental violations.
Vreba-Hoff Dairy has been ordered by a Ingham County circuit judge to pay $223,500. According to a report in the Toledo Blade, a state mediator recommended the fine, which relates to pollution, storage and record-keeping concerns raised by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
