The MAS screw press filter is said to have excellent qualities for dehydrating and separating all kinds of solid or liquid process, waste and residue flows.

The special internal screw of the machine transports the product from the inlet to the press end. On all sides, the screw is locked in the filter by using a precise fit. The thin product (the liquid flow, the effluent) leaves the machine through the filter.

At the end of the machine, the filter turns into a delivery chamber. Solids are automatically compressed into a wad so that the liquid, instead of leaving the machine here, is forced to leave the machine through the filter. At this outlet end, the solid, dry product leaves the machine through the delivery chamber.

The product to be processed may be fed in at the top or through one of the sides.

As the counter pressure in the delivery chamber can be adjusted with great accuracy, the quality of the end products (both effluent and dry mass) can be easily regulated. For example, many applications require the effluent to be very clean whereas the main criterion in other applications is the proportion of dry matter.

The machine has a single-sided bearing system so that replacing different filters can be done easily and quickly, according to the company.

The unique bearing system makes it possible for the screw to turn freely within the filter. The result is less wear of both the filter and the screw.

Special features of the machine include a single-sided  bearing system, its ease of cleaning, its compact size and its low standard power consumption.
