State environmental officials are
investigating a huge manure spill at a dairy confinement near Lester in
northwest Iowa.

August 19, 2009, Lester, IA – State environmental officials are investigating a huge manure spill at a dairy confinement near Lester in northwest Iowa.

Officials with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources say 100,000 gallons of manure spilled at Rock Bottom Dairy when a clamp came off as it was being pumped to a manure storage pit.
