AELR hearing planned for phosphorus tool

November 13, 2013, Annapolis, MD — Proposed changes to when and how Maryland farmers can apply certain types of manure is scheduled for a hearing in front of the joint committee on Administrative, Executive and Legislative Review on Nov. 20.

While the committee does not have the authority to prevent the phosphorus management implementation from moving forward, Bill Satterfield, director of Delmarva Poultry Industry, said he hopes they will listen to farmers and use their influence accordingly. READ MORE
