United Dairymen members are invited to attend an informational meeting covering
the Central Valley Dairy Representative Monitoring Program on December 13 in
Orland.

members are invited to attend an informational meeting covering
the Central Valley Dairy Representative Monitoring Program on December 13 in
Orland.

The meeting will be held
at 1 p.m. at the Glenn County Farm Bureau office, 831 5th Street Orland.

The dairy industry is
facing new, expensive regulatory costs for monitoring groundwater. In response,
industry leaders have formed the CVDRMP to control those costs and to
efficiently and cost-effectively provide the information needed by the regional
board. The CVDRMP is run by dairymen for dairymen The monitoring well
regulation affects all dairies in the region, regardless of size, so it is
important to obtain as much information about the Central Valley Dairy Representative
Monitoring Program
as possible.

The deadline to sign up is
December 27. Applications must be postmarked by the deadline. For more
