WSU seeks retraction, says researcher faked study data

January 14, 2015, Seattle, WA – A researcher exploring ways to convert dairy manure into electrical power faked data and claimed his laboratory notebook blew into a manure pit, according to a Washington State University investigation.

The university also concluded the researcher, who was an assistant professor in WSU’s Department of Biological Engineering, failed to declare a conflict of interest based on his patents and links with makers of dairy-waste digesters.
