The NPPC has no plans to change the event in reaction to the recent influenza outbreak.
The World Pork Expo Junior National and World Pork Expo Breed Show and Sale will be held as planned during the show. Show organizers will continue to follow strict biosecurity animal health protocols as standard operating procedure, just as they do every year.
Pork producers and the U.S. pork industry have been faced with unprecedented challenges over the past year. Given the additional emerging issues facing pork producers, the 2009 World Pork Expo will be an essential event.
