June 23, 2009, Racine County, WI – A Racine County dairy operator is facing an appeal to the Wisconsin Livestock Siting Review Board.
The case involves a planned expansion of Noble Farms at Kansasville, Wisconsin. The farm was granted a permit to expand from less than 450 animal units to less than 728 animal units. A neighbor appealed the permit and it was overturned. The farm has since reworked its plan, resubmitted the application and been granted the expansion permit. The neighbor is challenging the permit again.
