WI’s Petersen Dairy Farm lands national honor

June 5, 2013, Grand Chute, WI — Mark Petersen says being a good steward of the land his family’s dairy farm occupies on North Ballard Road is a practice he’s followed since he got involved in the business in 1982.

Through the years as residential development moved in around the Petersen farm, the family devoted more effort to preserve land for growing corn and soybeans and implemented processes to minimize odor in surrounding neighborhoods. Those initiatives landed the Petersen family a national sustainability award from the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy. READ MORE
