WI soil, water, nutrient management meetings slated

WI – The University of Wisconsin Extension will host eight Soil, Water and
Nutrient Management Meetings around the state this fall to provide research updates
in the field of soil fertility, nutrient management, soil and water
conservation, and water quality.

WI – The University of Wisconsin Extension will host eight Soil, Water and
Nutrient Management Meetings around the state this fall to provide research updates
in the field of soil fertility, nutrient management, soil and water
conservation, and water quality.
Topics include growing
biofuels in Wisconsin, soil test summary, corn N management update, overview of
municipal and industrial waste land application rules, improved nutrient
management and conservation planning, a new approach for removing sediment and
phosphorus in runoff from cropland, and uses and limitations of plant analysis,
including stalk nitrate testing.
