WI revises scope based on recommendations

July 25, 2016, Madison, WI – In another step towards addressing the impact of manure spreading in the karst areas of Wisconsin, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has issued a revised statement of scope related to runoff management and non-point source performance standards and concentrated animal feeding operations.
The DNR said that the purpose of the proposed revisions was to establish performance standards targets to abate non-point source pollution in areas of the state with shallow soils and overlaying fractured bedrock, which it labeled as “sensitive areas.” READ MORE
