WI manure digester meeting expectations

May 20, 2015, Middleton, WI — It has been full speed ahead in the year and a half or so since the $13-million community manure digester owned by the Gundersen Health System of La Crosse began collecting manure and producing electricity northwest of Madison.

The digester collects manure from three farms — manure is piped under­ground from one farm, less than a mile away, while trucks haul in manure from two other dairies within three miles of the site. READ MORE
