WI county to go easy on manure rules

The Sauk County Land Conservation Department will begin targeted enforcement of
new rules that deal with abandon manure storage facilities.

The Sauk County Land Conservation Department will begin targeted enforcement of
new rules that deal with abandon manure storage facilities.

The new rules, designed to
protect groundwater, adopt state standards and allow the county to inspect
manure storage facilities that haven't been used for two years or more, or
facilities that are transferring ownership and were installed before 1990.
