Webinar: Reduce runoff losses during winter manure application
October 22, 2020 By Manure Manager/GEA

Applying manure during winter months is often needed due to reduced storage capacity or other logistical issues. However, this practice can be risky creating phosphorus losses and affecting surface water quality. Some factors and management practices can be considered to reduce the risk of manure losses in runoff during the wintertime. During this free webinar, Francisco Arriaga, associate professor and extension state specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will discuss some of these recommendations and the background behind them.
