WA manure spill’s effect lessens

April 20, 2010, Snohomish, WA – Water quality in the
Snohomish River just downstream from French Slough outside Snohomish has
improved, and state Department of Agriculture officials say that tests show a
decrease in contamination since a major manure spill April 11 or 12.

But French Slough still has water-quality problems, the
