UW-Madison receives $7M grant for manure project

August 3, 2012, Madison, WI – University of Wisconsin – Madison has received a $7 million federal grant that will help a large dairy farm near Green Bay convert cow manure into ethanol, fertilizer and mulch.

The $7 million award was one of five biofuels projects recently announced. The project is a joint effort between the university, Soil Net (a biotech company from Madison) and Maple Leaf dairy farm, located near Green Bay. READ MORE
